No more spreadsheets and no more human error

We’ve officially started alpha testing our automated royalty system. It’s built to handle complex multi-artist splits instantly, removing the human error and anxiety that comes with manual spreadsheets. We’re doing the heavy lifting in the code now so we can scale to multi artists without anyone missing a cent.

I am sitting here in the office tonight looking at a screen that represents months of late nights and very specific technical debates. For anyone who has ever been on the management side of a music label, you know that the end of the month is usually a period of deep anxiety. It involves opening dozens of different spreadsheets, cross-referencing streaming data from our partners, and trying to calculate exactly how much is owed to every person involved in a track. When you have a Phonk release that features two producers, a guest vocalist, and a graphic designer for the cover art, that math becomes a nightmare very quickly. One small typo in a cell can throw off an entire payment cycle.

Today, I am incredibly proud to announce that we have officially moved away from that manual headache. We have begun the internal alpha testing phase for our proprietary automated royalty split system. This is a massive milestone for BlackFire Midea. It is the first time our technical vision for 2026 has become a functional reality that we can actually interact with. We are no longer just talking about a tech-first model because we are now living it.

The logic behind this system is built to handle the complexity of the modern music scene. In the EDM and Phonk worlds, collaboration is the standard. It is very rare for a track to have just one owner. Our new system is designed to recognize every contributor at the point of upload. Once the data flows in from our global distribution network, the software identifies the pre-defined percentages for everyone involved. It then calculates the splits instantly. Whether you are the primary producer, a featured vocalist, or the designer who created the visual identity for the release, the system ensures that your share is accounted for without a single human having to touch a calculator.

We are currently running this alpha test with a small batch of our existing catalog to ensure the math is perfect. Accuracy is our absolute priority here. We know that trust is the most important thing we can offer our artists. If a creator cannot trust their label to pay them accurately and on time, then nothing else matters. By automating this process, we are removing the possibility of human error. We are creating a system that is impartial and incredibly fast. It allows us to process payments with a level of efficiency that traditional labels simply cannot match.

This development is a key part of our plan to scale to one hundred artists by next year. There is no way we could support a roster of that size using manual spreadsheets. It would require a massive administrative team and would lead to inevitable delays. By solving the "split problem" through code, we are clearing the path for rapid growth. We are building a foundation where we can sign new talent and bring them into our ecosystem with the full confidence that our backend can handle the load.

The alpha test is showing great results so far. Seeing the system process a complex four-way split in a matter of seconds is a huge relief. It means our team can spend less time being accountants and more time being creative partners for our artists. We are currently fine-tuning the way the data is displayed so that it remains easy to understand for everyone. We want the final version to be so transparent that you never have to ask where a specific payment came from.

We still have a few weeks of rigorous testing ahead of us before we move into the next phase. We are checking every edge case and making sure the system is robust enough to handle the thousands of micro-transactions that come with global streaming. This is the heavy lifting that happens behind the scenes to make sure BlackFire Midea remains a stable and reliable home for independent creators. We are building the future of music management one line of code at a time, and I can't wait to see this system fully operational across our entire roster.

Stay Creative, Ill see you the next time.
